Here's how I go about creating a new logo – most projects follow a similar pattern:
Step 1, Discovery: First I will ask you to fill in a design brief questionnaire and supply a moodboard showing any images, logos or other visuals that you think are relevant and may inspire the project, this can be done on Pinterest. We will then have a video call where we can go through what you have supplied and talk about the project in more detail.
After our meeting, I will send you a proposal and contract. Once we agree on these, we will move forward to the creative work.
Step 2, Research and Ideas: After our meeting, I will research and review all the information gathered and look at competitor brands, styles, and trends that might influence the visual direction. Then I will start brainstorming and sketching out rough ideas on paper.
Step 3, Design and Presentation: In the next stage, I will take the best ideas that answer the brief and develop further on computer using professional software. I will present your new design explaining why I made the choices I did, and I will show you the logo in different sizes and situations. This could be on things like business cards, vans, billboards, computer screens, or even building signs. This helps you see how the logo will look in different situations.
Step 4, Refinement: Following  the presentation I will send you PDFs to check and gain feedback from your team. If you wish to make any changes, it's best to tell me all at once. I will confirm the changes before making them and then show you a new version.
Because we've laid good groundwork for the project, the final design usually doesn't require more than three revisions.
Step 5, Delivery: Finally, once we are all satisfied that the project has met its objectives, I will send you all the files you need to use your new logo.
